Waiting in November

Okay.. So it has been a little too long since my last blog- and I have no excuses. So I will try to catch up and do better with updates. Here are a few of the latest pictures- Since EVERYONE has been asking for PREGO pictures (not the most flattering I tell you- but here is an attempt at a few)

Fort Collins has been pretty good to us so far. The weather could not have been better these last two months. Sunny and 60 degrees for the most part.
We both have been able to dig our heels in and work/network and have met a lot of nice people that have been great so far.
We have been staying busy, just last night we went to the CSU Women's Volleyball Team's last home game of the season!! Can't believe we are already through one sports season! They won and should finish top of the Conference- with UNLV right behind them (a little shameless plug to my Alma mater). Wish the other CSU sports could follow their great lead. We also also have been able to have a some people over for some rival basketball/ football games :)- which is always interesting and fun. SO far we are 1-1.
We also have had some family visit and are gearing up for our busy calendar of family visits once Annika arrives.
We love visitors- so if you are ever plan to be in the area, or would like to come and visit- please let us know so we can try and add you to the calendar. We only have a two bedroom condo/townhome right now though- so be prepared for some serious QUALITY time. (and if you have sick kids- you can't come till JANUARY :) and you can't stay longer than two weeks :) - Those are the rules...... )
What everyone has been waiting for: Baby news! No news :(
So today is the official due date- which is basically just one Doctors guess of when Annika might arrive. Although my doctor here in Fort Collins has been thinking Annika was going to arrive prior to today- as all signs physically pointed to that. (then my sister informed me that she was dilated to a 4 for a WHOLE month- darn genetics- so dilated to a three means NOTHING :( ...

With that new knowledge I am guessing she is going to take after her father who stayed comfortable for three EXTRA weeks- his poor mother. "We however" or at least I plan on serving an eviction notice like Joe did with her cute little girl Taylor- not sure Ben or I could handle the anticipation of another two weeks, or the lack of sleep that would involve.

We have been receiving multiple phone calls and e-mails with great anticipation of her arrival. Thank you everyone for your advice, concern, well wishes and eagerness to hear of her arrival.

We are hanging in there- and I am still going to CSU games :) and was working up till last week. I have enjoyed the extra sleep in the mornings this week! 8 am is way too early for me, prego or not :)
So that is it for now. I hope to have real news for you all soon. Cross your fingers.

Moving Along

Life has been KRAZZY hectic lately, as everything is changing.

If you haven't heard, we are officially moving to Fort Collins, Colorado.... a beautiful place to be. I love my MOUNTAIN WEST. However the moving process is enough to drive anyone nuts. Especially when you are 7 1/2 months prego....

I guess you can say we like to only make moves across the country when LIFE is complicated. Why not. It keeps it interesting right? When we moved to Cleveland, we had just got married, sold a house, and Ben had started his new adventure 2 1/2 months earlier with his new job. So there we were moving "us" out to Cleveland a week after the wedding.

This time, Ben being in Fort Collins already (started his new job last week), and now I have only 3 weeks to pack up and join him. (at least it is not 2 1/2 months). It is a little different though as I mentioned before we have a little one on the way... SO very life changing. My belly seems to be growing more so in the last couple weeks than the first 7 months. ( yes, I will add pics soon everyone that keeps asking)
This move has been a little more tough then our big first move out here-- I think mostly because Cleveland has been where we spent the first 3 years of our married life. It became "our home" in a way. Our friends here have only known us as married and it will be extremely tough to say goodbye to all of them next month...... I hate saying goodbye.

I have had a lot of people question this big move.... And truthfully I left it up to Ben.

Yes Ben made the decision on his own. Of course there was imput from all different directions. (parents, peers, friends and even little Annika :) But ultimately it came down to him.

I was positive about staying or going. Saw it both ways. Good on both sides and I was actually in Dallas when he made the decision to take the new job. I know I know... who makes life changing decisions like that. It wasn't easy for Ben. He has a lot of college friends and close family out here. MSU season football tickets close to the 50 yard line...... Great job, great work friends, amazing house. I have a great job and good friends out here too.....
It didn't come down to money or people... it really came down to our future and the family lifestyle that we hope to have. I think even if this job was located where we had no family close by-- he would have chosen it. I think he made a good tough decision, and only time will tell if it is the right one. I am excited as I think it is a great opportunity for us again and it was the decision that had the most growth opportunity.

It will be sad and hard to leave all those things out here that we have grown to love.......... but I bet we are back out here someday... just wait... maybe when we have a second child-- or some other life changing event

After all we only make BIG moves.
