Buddies
Today we choose to celebrate rather than cry as we are comforted knowing that my loving grandfather is with his sweet bride in heaven. I know they both are smiling, laughing and holding onto each other tight. He has missed her so. We will miss his jokes, his music and voice but will remember the great man he was and what an AMAZING example of love and faith he shared. His legacy lives on in the many talents he has shared and passed on to his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
I will always cherish those moments he shared with me...my first fishing experience, his songs, his backyard adventures, summers and 4th of July's at their house with all the cousins, his silly jokes, his pick up lines for grandma, their true love story (married 60 + years,) his laugh as he watched my daughter (ac) roll around and around rather than crawl and his heart breaking words as he said goodbye to his true love at her funeral last June. He did not have a reason to stay...... He needed her, she needed him. And tonight is bitter sweet.
