MaC got her finger smashed at school

Her first day back at school yesterday and she didn't even last a day without an injury. Yesterday I received 3 calls from their school. The last one was about picking AC up with a fever of 102.3. So guess who is home with me today.

Someone must be feeling better cause she was upstairs in her room reading for a long time. While her sister is trying to bring her 102.3 fever down. Never ending.

Since I have been posting a lot about MaC so thought I would share a pic of her.

Breaks my heart for her to feel so crummy. Hoping tomorrow is the breakthrough day. 100 degree fever again today and she threw up x2 Day 2 of home with mom. I know her outfit doesn't match and maybe that's why the sad look-- grabbed the closest thing that was comfy for her. She had 4 clothing changes today so it didn't last long.

On the way to dr yesterday. She has been giving us this look with her lips a lot more while she hasn't felt good. Like she maybe telling me " well duh mom I Don't Feel Good" "duh duh duh". Rough day at home with her yesterday....didn't get a lot done with work or house but selfishly loved spending some quality snuggle MaC time. Who wouldn't want to snuggle with that pucker face.

Update. Dr gave us new meds to try. They smell and taste Yucky so we have to pin her down to take them. Not fun but hope they work. We see an ENT in two weeks. Dr thinks he will want to remove adenoids or put in tubes. Hoping for neither. The joys of germs at daycare and not an immune system ready for it. We will see if her temp is under 100 in morning so she can go to school at least half day. Love our little MaC.

Daddy snuggle- urgent care Sunday

Well today did not go as planned. Sunday started with MaC throwing up all over everything (first time she had ever) and pretty much set the day. She had a fever that just got worse as the day progressed. I ended up at urgent care with her around 5:30 pm. I had given her Infant fever reducing meds earlier in the day and she had thrown them up both times and the fever just got worse It peaked at a temp of 102.6 and they told me both her ears were still infected. The amoxicillin had not been doing it's job and the infection was causing her fever. (she was diagnosed with a double ear infection on Monday basically a week ago and been taking antibiotics for 6 days 2 x a day.)

Urgent care gave her some meds for her nausea and a shot in the thigh of a different antibiotic for her ears. And then some tylenol dose as a suppository (not a fun thing to see your little girl get.). MaC was not happy about it but she quickly fell a sleep and they let me go home with her. She is passed out with Ben in the chair downstairs now...... I will call her doctor in the morning and get MaC in to see her and hope the shot today did the trick and she doesn't need another. We are scheduled to see an ENT later in April about her breathing and mouth. Please keep her in your thought and prayers. She has had a rough March for sure. We are crossing our fingers no tubes or anything more serious. We know we are very blessed.
